Our story

Corporate entertainment specialists

Centrestage is a live entertainment company based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape, started by Gary and Tanya Hemmings in 1997. In 2016, comedian Gino Fabbri joined as a partner.

Gary has created and staged over 200 shows for the PE and East London public, as well as numerous entertainment packages for corporate functions throughout South Africa. The team remains passionate about identifying and nurturing Eastern Cape talent, and creating ongoing work for our local celebrities.

During Covid, Gino and Gary created the long-form online interview show Gino's Spot, still running and nearing 450 interviews with PE celebrities, businessmen and storytellers. In September 2024, Centrestage teamed up with PE's premier technical and events company, Lineout Productions, to open Centrestage@Baywest.
