Centrestage presents its popular annual office party comedy, cabaret and party show ‘Get this Party Started - Strictly Partytime 2010’ at Lighthouses at the Boardwalk from 24 November until 3 December this year.

Both the show and the venue format will change this year, with patrons encouraged to bring along their own picnic baskets or do their own catering at the licenced venue, which also offers a sociable, chairs around tables environment to enjoy the end of year festivities.

The evening will start off with an hour long interactive comedy, cabaret and rock n roll variety show entitled ‘Setting the Stage’ which will get the audience into the party mood, before a fast-paced, ever-changing and highly entertaining 2 hour dance party is unleashed!

A combination of classy, feel-good, fun entertainment out of the top drawer is promised as the show-stopping cabaret will deliver a smorgasbord of unexpected highlights.
The feminine touch will be provided by Lynn Cosme and Caron Strydom, who will be joined by rocker Wayne Kallis and all 5 members of the Centrestage group Escape – Thuba Myeki, Jace Bowden, Will Jenson, Arno Erasmus and Emile Doubell.
In the show segment, these talented performers will move from Adam Lambert to Elvis Presley, from mezmerising 60’s and 70’s rock n roll medleys to a rather surprising, but technically sensational rendition of The Andrews Sisters with a twist; they will turn the Beatles around, shine a new and amusing light on country music and show you what some of today’s music might sound like if it was sung in the 40’s!
From Weird Al Yankovic to Jack Parrow, Lady Gaga to the Black Eyed Peas – and ending in an showcase acapella overlapping medley arrangement of no less than 15 Michael Jackson hits in less than 4 minutes, Setting the Stage will set the mood for the party which is to come.
Then get ready for what Centrestage does best – and that is throw a party!
With a musical selection of well known songs which will appeal right across the ages - from rock n rollers, some well- known latest chart toppers, singalong favourites and so much more, you will be kept on the dance-floor until late in the evening.
