Promising to make swooning women weak in the knees, the extremely talented singing 5-some, under the musical direction of Wayne Kallis, is making waves on the local entertainment scene.

Idols top 14 finalist, Thuba Mayeki, captures the hearts of the audience and has been given standing ovations for his ability to cross over from the charming, rapid-fire modern rap to the big Opera styled Josh Groban genre with consumate ease.

Ladies man, Jace Bowren, has a strong theatre background and a penchant for the Michael Buble big band standards – he is your typical boy next door with his sporty appearance and youthful flavor.

Arno Erasmus is the shy, innocent rocking guitarist with an Afrikaans flavour, confident, the romantic seducer in the band.

The experienced Will Jensen, sporting an impressive vocal clarity and perfect pitch, also performs for the Centrestage All-Star Band on keyboards and vocals and finishes off the exciting Escape lineup.

Escape will wow crowds with all the latest boy band and current chart-topping hits, but will also show their ability to spice up and rearrange some 70’s and 80’s classics to give them a new boy-band feel.

As a party band, Escape performs a repertoire from the 70’s right up to the chart toppers of today and keeps their audience wowed on the dance floor!

Songs such as How Deep is Your Love, Uptown Girl, Back for Good, Larger than Life, When You’re Looking Like That, Love is All Around, I Want it That Way, Unbreakable and Flying without Wings all form part of their popular repertoire.

They are in big demand, performing at corporate functions throughout South Africa.

Aside from their popular shows Escape and The Great Escape, they have also performed in front of the Centrestage All-Star band to great acclaim in the show Rocking Through the Decades.

You are thus cordially invited to view the Eastern Cape’s version of the heart throbbing Back Street Boys, Savage Garden, Westlife , Crowded House, Counting
Crows, Robbie Williams, Take That and so much more.

‘The Great Escape - A Tribute to Westlife and Robbie Williams’ moves from current chart topping rock and pop hits to popular ballads, big band standards and even includes a segment of revived 60’s rock n roll, offering the kind of varied repertoire and ever-changing palette of genres and styles which will strike a chord in both young and old.Showcasing the explosive youthful energy of Robbie Williams contrasted against the beautiful ensemble vocal textures of the Westlife, no less than 40 songs have been selected from album hits, live performances and stand-out covers performed by these musical luminaries.

Westlife fans can expect all their greatest hits, such as I Lay My Love on You, World of our own, Fool Again, Bop Bop Baby, When You’re Looking Like That and Uptown Girl, with their trademark power ballads such as My Love, Queen of My Heart, Tonight, If I Let You Go, What About Now, Unbreakable, Swear It Again and Flying Without Wings included in medley form amongst others.

Something Beautiful and Better Man (the latter accompanied by the multi-talented Erasmus on acoustic guitar) whilst the more recent She’s Madonna, Advertising Space and You Know me are also included in the sizzling lineup.

Even a handful of Robbie William’s ex-group Take That hits are included, such as Back For Good and their version of the Bee Gees’ classic How Deep is Your Love, as well as selections from William’s big band salute album Swing When You’re Winning and the Westlife equivalent Allow Us to Be Frank.

‘The Great Escape - A Tribute to Westlife and Robbie Williams’ showcase some spectacular vocal performances in the faced-paced, varied and entertaining style for which Centrestage has become synonymous.
