Magnificent 7 Reunion

The show pays tribute to the seven most popular rock n roll bands of all time – the Beatles, Beach Boys, Bee Gees, Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Abba and Queen, as the band reinvents itself to recreate each new sound and performance dynamic.
The original musical director of the popular Centrestage All-star band, Donovan Hattingh, returns to Port Elizabeth for a month to join his long-time fellow band members before jetting back to Dubai, where he has been performing at top hotels in the region since graduating from the local entertainment company.
Donovan will be joined onstage by his performing partner Lani Botha, also an ex-Centrestage singer, who teams up with Donna Africa in the glamour department.
The Magnificent 7 performed to over 100 000 people over the years and has travelled around the country to great critical acclaim.
The audiovisual spectacular went to Durban for two months, where they teamed up with popular Natal-based comedian Aaron McIlroy, who appears on video in the show in some hilarious audiovisual linking.
McIlroy plays a time travelling, shape-shifting scientist from the future who attempts to understand the culture of the time through the lens of rock n roll by reanimating the famous bands of the 60’s and 70’s.
Other band members include Gino Fabbri on drums, who also pops out front occasionally for some showcase moments, current musical director Wayne Kallis, keyboardists Debbie Everaad and Fenlin Pietie, Bee Gees falsetto king Andre Strydom on bass, with the virtuoso Hattngh on lead guitar.
Showman Cedric Van Den Schrik also joins the talented cast in character as Freddie Mercury, amongst other personas.
The much anticipated specialist showstopper Bohemian Rhapsody will once again be performed in full vocal orchestration and is an unmissable highlight of the performance.
