Centrestageís songstress with the big voice Donna Africa performs her Tina Turner Songbook tribute to the Queen of rock n roll at The Music Kitchen on Friday 2 November and Saturday 3 November.
She is joined onstage by backing vocalists Lynn Carver and Izzy Van Zyl in the role of her Ikettes.
Donna Africa has built up a rich reputation for herself on many different fronts: as Gino Fabbriís comedy sidekick, she is responsible for a fair amount of laughs herself; as an award-winning actress, her leading role in Fiela se Kind had audiences shedding tears.
She has the ability to blow audiences away with her stunning renditions of cabaret show-stoppers, powerhouse party favourites, searing ballads, big band duets, playfully coy interactive fun and heartfelt sensitivity, all delivered with a sincere and infectious genuine enjoyment and love of her craft.
Donna has both the voice and the moves to do justice to the singer who overcame the influence of her abusive husband to forge an unprecedented place in the hallowed halls of rock n roll.
The show features 70 minutes of Tina Turner classics, such as We Donít Need Another Hero, When The Heartache is Over, Whatís Love Got to Do with It and Private Dancer, amongst her many other hit songs.
Thereafter, a party set will feature all 3 divas and will set the Music Kitchen stage alight and have everyone partying!
Tickets costing R85 are available from The Music Kitchen on 041-3641964.
